Entwood plays originals and covers that are distinctly American in influence. Their music is a mixture of folk, rock, bluegrass, politics, socioeconomics, and the great outdoors.
The Story Behind the Name
As lifelong fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and trees in general the band was named after Entwood, the forest in lord of the rings. Due to their love of trees and nature the band wrote about the oldest tree in the world (Prometheus) that got cut down, and a tune (Nameless) about climbing a redwood located in coastal California. The band also has songs that address the consequences of Hydraulic Fracturing (Gasland) and Mountaintop Removal Mining.
